Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030: empowering young people to build the future 
With the launch of Vision 2030, Saudis have realized the path we are supposed to take to success. We set solid targets and introduced a blueprint to reach them, and we continue to progress despite the challenges we face. Saudi Arabia has shown the world, through our determination and achievements, that we have already begun to exceed expectations.
Through a strategic plan that involves what is known as “Vision Realization Programs,” Saudi citizens are on their way to creating a game-changing future for the Kingdom.
While the youth play a significant role as the leaders of tomorrow, previous generations remind us of where we come from.
The Kingdom has done much to highlight Saudi culture, and Vision 2030 continues to do that by introducing programs to remind the youth — and the rest of the world — of who we are, aware that we cannot walk toward a better future without knowing more about the past.
To preserve Saudi Arabia’s heritage, the Ministry of Culture launched the Intangible Cultural Heritage initiative, which aims to “develop students’ research capacities.”
The Kingdom has done much to highlight Saudi culture, and Vision 2030 continues to do that by introducing programs to remind the youth — and the rest of the world — of who we are, aware that we cannot walk toward a better future without knowing more about the past.
Over the years, Saudi Arabia has been working on encouraging the sons and daughters of the Kingdom to shape their future by advancing their skills and training them to become better leaders in their professions, whether in science and technology or in the creative fields.
The Ministry of Education has continually adopted strategies to improve the educational system to ensure that students are unhindered in their progress, such as when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and digital platforms were introduced to adapt to the needs of the moment.
Since the announcement of Vision 2030 in 2016, we have reached many milestones, such as the opening of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, or Ithra, a hub that promotes creativity. In 2018, Ithra made it to TIME Magazine’s list of World’s Greatest Places. The Kingdom also founded the Saudi Digital Academy to enhance the skills of the youth in technology.
Saudi Arabia is not only a vision for the future generation but also a vision by them, as we actively reap the benefits of the Kingdom’s myriad opportunities and cultivate our skills in order to build a better future.
As a young writer, I believe that showcasing this vision through my own words is essential. I am very proud of our country and our achievements. What I have been able to accomplish is the result of an ambitious nation empowering its young people. I hope that we will see more passionate Saudis achieve their dreams in the near future.
