Olayan Mohammed Al-Wetaid is a Saudi electrical engineer and the CEO of Saudi Telecoms Company, Saudi Arabia’s strongest brand according to Brand Finance Middle East 150.

Al-Wetaid has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and worked at Saudi Aramco before joining STC. 

Before becoming CEO of STC, Al-Wetaid was the company’s senior VP of Consumer Business Unit, and prior to that he was the CEO of STC Bahrain. He heads the boards of several STC subsidiaries, including Channels, Intigral, and the Contact Center Co.

Al-Wetaid is also the vice chairman of the board of directors of STC Pay and the chairman of several committees.

Al-Wetaid holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has certifications in the field of ICT, leadership and strategic planning.
