Many questions arise amid the rapidly evolving events on the international arena, carrying heightened risks and leading to the worsening of the already volatile military, security, economic and living conditions. Are we aware of these risks? And are we ready to deal with them?

One of the highlights of my calendar is time spent at my home in the English countryside and in various other European countries. During my travels, I have always recharged my energy levels ready to take on every challenge life throws my way. But this year will be different.

Almost all of America’s closest allies had cautioned US President Donald Trump against recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, warning of potentially grave repercussions. France, the United Kingdom, the European Union and Turkey have all urged him to reconsider.
